Playtime!

It's Friday night, and I have spent the entire afternoon lolling about in bed, reading Diana Gabaldon's The Fiery Cross.  I have been on page 404 for at least 2 weeks because I haven't had any time to read, so today I decided that I needed to rectify matters.  I flew through almost 200 pages, and it was utterly sublime.

I can't wait till Disney releases the new DVD version of The Lion King. I don't think I've actually seen it since I was really young, but it's suuuuuuch an awesome film.

New DVD version? They're doing another new one?

Yes! They are pulling it out of the Disney vault again and I think it's supposed to be coming out in the fall of this year. It'll be another Blue-Ray/DVD combo, like the version of Beauty and the Beast that was released a few months ago.

Are you part of Groupon? They had a $10 for $20 for B&N today. Even if you didn't get it for that, you might be interested?

Beautiful journal!

Oooh, no, I'm not part of Groupon. I'll have to check it out.

Thanks!

Thanks! Yeah, I have three books currently queued up to be read, and I think I am going to have to find a way to squeeze a little time out of my schedule in order to work through them. I feel like my mental health gets a boost whenever I read something fun.

Ugh, I know what you mean about being exhausted. The thought of reading anything beyond what needs to get done for school has been a total turn-off, and so I've had to find other ways to unwind. Though I am so impressed that you've been able to write such awesome stuff in the midst of your busy schedule! I haven't gotten a chance to review yet, but I have read your hp_kinkfest pieces and they are wonderful. I have managed to write perhaps 1000 words over the past couple of weeks, but I am trying to forgive myself for my snail's pace. :)

Joe Abercrombie just released his latest book, The Heroes, and I know I'm not going to be able to read it for at least the next couple of months... but it looks so damn good. I almost bought it the other day, but then I realized having the book sitting on my desk would be much too mocking.

Hopefully things lighten up for both of us!

edited because I fail miserably at remembering how to link LJ comms lol

I know exactly what you mean, though rest assured - Abercrombie does manage to tie up all his loose ends. :D

I've watched Pocahontas, Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and the Little Mermaid over the past few days. Makes the pain of grading abate somewhat, lol.

Thanks for the well-wishes!
