Oh thank you so much. This was so gorgeous to read,I loved every minute. And it makes such perfect sense, really, albeit sad sense.

She looks up at him, to let him see it, and says, "Think you'd be willing to risk the jellyfish again?"

He just stares at her for so long that she wants to fidget, look away, brush it off. But she wants this more, this chance, his company, so she waits. Finally, he smiles, a little uncertain, but genuine. "Yeah, I think I could probably be persuaded by the chance to see you wet and naked."

^^This is my favourite part, though it was really hard to pick a moment. Thank you!

I'm so sorry I didn't answer this already, but thank you so much for wonderful feedback! I'm so glad you enjoyed this story, and especially the jellyfish bit. I had way too much fun coming up with that. *G*

I bet you did :D

This particular scenario has always been my favourite kind of Max/Alec story, because in my head its the only true logical progression, the only way they can maintain their freedom in a way that MEANS something. Ordinaries were never going to let them just blend in, or even maintain TC. So this story trope is my weakness, but I've read so many awful versions that its really wonderful to read one that is really really good. XD Just reread it then and it definitely holds up over time.
