Toothless reminds me of a cat, for some reason.

Yeah, same here. In the movie they had the whole dragon nip thing and his design itself looks like a cross between a catfish and a salamander. I sorta like when dragons are depicted as 'cat-like', it's endearing sorta. :]

Thanks! And uh, I work off and on when I do things like this, cuz it's not critical to finish, but I'd say an hour for the sketch, an hour for the WIP piece - but then again I played with the colors on that a few times, so meh. I've begun to work pretty fast of of late out of necessity. :]
