I think this is the one story of yours I haven't commented on before!
Everyone in the gang is so perfectly in character here. You really have their voices down perfectly! I love Allan as the skeptic/voice of reason in all of this. Of course. :)
It's a great missing scene, too, because you do have to wonder how they came to the decision to join up with Edward on their own. And it's interesting that without Robin, their leader, they go looking for another leader of sorts in Edward.
Much's comment--you keep scratching, Robin--is a great tie-in to their conversation on the hill. He's obviously still worried about Robin and thinking over what's passed between them, but he's also ready to do the right thing, to do what Robin isn't able to at the moment. It's just perfectly Much to be simply heroic like that.
I'm so glad you think everyone's in character. I love writing gang stories, but I'm always afraid I'm stereotyping when put the bunch of them in a scene together.
I think the events in 1x08 were meant to prove the outlaws needed Robin's help (though they *did* almost manage to get Djaq out of the castle). The idea of needing a leader stuck with me.
Much was awesome in 1x13, so I thought it was only right he was heroic and noble in this missing scene as well. :-)
And yeeees, the first two series are brilliant! "Third series, what third series?" is my life motto, for a number of reasons (though I did like Guy and Robin working together).
