On Tuesday, August 21, I had my second work-related injury (my first is fondly remembered hereWhat happened was I was picking orders in an area known as Zone 61, where you walk up and down aisles, put stickers on boxes, then put the boxes on a conveyor belt. As I was working, I started sweating, so I naturally wiped the sweat from my forehead with ( Read more... )

I read Hannibal when I was 16 and LOVED it!! It was really well-written and I totally got into it. I can still remember whole sentences, lol.

I just started it last night. It's pretty good so far.

Favourite song... jeez... I dunno. I have a few favourites. "You Think I Ain't Worth A Dollar, But I Feel Like A Millionaire" is awesome. "Song For The Dead" has such a kickass intro, so I love it. I love "In My Head" as well.

It's hard to choose!

Oh, and of course "Go With The Flow" and "No One Knows".

Seriously, there's no way I can pick just one, Sofia.

I just borrowed Children of Men from the library on Sunday. Books I read this summer which I highly suggest:

I, Robot (collection of Short Stories by Issac Asimov)
Flowers for Algernon
A Scanner Darkly

I also read the manga AKIRA for the second time. It's an epic read and one of the best graphic novels I've ever read. 250-400 pages a book with 7 books in total. It's long, violent, and gripping sci-fi. Definitely worth your time.

Oh and if you haven't read "It" by Stephen King, do so. Excellent Book!!

I read Flowers for Algernon back in high school, and yeah it was a good read. I'm worried about A Scanner Darkly, though, because the movie was weird and confusing as hell. As for I, Robot, is that adapted from the movie, or was the movie based on the book?

I may read It sometime in the future as well.

But I dunno if I'm quite ready to step into the world of manga quite yet.

I think after Hannibal, my next reads are going to be The Bourne Supremacy and Ultimatum.

The movie was based loosely on the Short stories by Asimov. The Short stories themselves are brilliant.

I was actually about to say the same thing... the wrinkles concern me much more than your wound does.
