Writing trouble

Well, it's official. Or, in any case, as far as one can consider these things official. The fact of the matter is though, that I can't write academic papers in German. It's such a slow process I find it agonising to write even a sentence - and even when that one sentence is finally written, most of the time I feel either like a) a five-year-old has ( Read more... )

Danke <3

It may be more work in the long run, but perhaps write out the whole paper in English and then translate it into German?

Hahaha, to be honest I'd already thought about that xD! If I can't write anything at all tomorrow, I'll definitely resort to that option! But I'd like to try it the "conventional" way at least once more - it does seem easier :).

But thank you <3. If all else fails, I'll definitely go for that!

Sometimes the 'conventional' way isn't always the 'write' way. (Yes, I'm being punny *sigh*) XD

Aww, it's a lovely pun though ;)! And you're absolutely right! Also, writing it in English and then in German is better than having written barely anything at all by the end of the day xD

I think that may be part of it too - the distance I mean. I also find it sooo much easier to express my feelings in English. For example, it's amazing how easy it is to say "I love you" ... but if a situation arises where I need to say the same thing in German I'll try to find every way around it there is. It's so weird :/
