I am totally thinking of my poor back! That's also why I'm spending my day nagging my doctor to give me a prescription for my controlled substance of choice percocet...

Not having your laptop is an excellent reason not to do any work on your vacation.

I mean, I'm really looking forward to the "my cell phone doesn't work there, and I'll have no internet access" aspect of vacation. I see too many people say "I'll be on vacation next week, here's my cell number, I'll be checking my work email daily." That's NOT VACATION.

No laptop. It's a complete hassle across the board. In customs, worrying about it getting lost/dropped/stolen, the whole thing.

As everyone else said, if you must go online, drop by an internet cafe.

Take a notebook (paper kind).
