For a long string of years, it would rain on my birthday. August was hot and bright seemingly every day except the 12th. Now, I'm not saying I particularly LIKE August weather in the first place, but the dreariness that comes with intermittent hazy rain on top of sticky heat is palpable.

Not that we were ever big birthday bash people, I've noticed my family just doesn't care anymore. It's trickled down to where Mom and Ryan had dinner with me someplace because we had a coupon. Dad gave me some cash in a bank envelope and an old license plate of his a few days later. Whee?

I do know what that 1/2 bday party meant. I just set the bar so high for future gatherings. Just wait until 3/26/07 ok? I'll try to do what we discussed over the phone...it so needs to happen.

I miss you and I live closer now and we really need to get together (after your bday unfortunately cuz i'm booked like you wouldn't even believe) and i listened to the Woopah! cd in the car today and it made me miss you oh so much so i'm going to stop rambling and i'll talk w/ you soon. :-)
