After a delightful warm bath, went to the English church (Trinity) service. Cold and sermon poor. Called at PO but no letters. Ate lunch at our Hotel Minerva. Father Mackey joined us and he kindly acted as our cicerone during the day. Yes, there was obviously quite a little jet-set already established in the 1880s. This isn't the first time he's bumped into a friend while in Rome.
