I hope they archive it permanently on the site. I went rooting through the page's source code, but I couldn't find a direct URL by which to quietly abscond with the video file. :Þ (Something I occasionally succeeded at back in the good old days before XHTML and CSS.)

Oh wow, Magpie, you made my day - indeed you made my week! Thank you so much - and thanks to Jordanna too for spotting that this was on TCM in the first place.

Apart from those shorts, his hair is also amazing in this. Also interesting that, in the bits where he starts to chat naturally, his voice is so much softer and sweeter than in his movie roles, though possibly he talks even faster! I was amused by him talking about all the fan mail from people who want to "save him".

I agree with Magpie's earlier comments that it's sad that he didn't get to do as many different roles as he was hoping in this short. BTW, Richard Schickel's book says this one was made in 1933, but TCM says 1931 - anyone know for sure?
