so the pier in my town has been burned down :( was on the natonal news and everything.
we went and had a look this afternoon and it was still burning, then this evening about an hour ago it went up again.
sad days

Reading the article on BBC news it sounded like an insurance job.

yes that is the rumors as it was getting compulsery purchesed tomorrow i beleve.
its a very sad sight to look at
i really hope they do something with the base structye as that has not buckled under the heat so is hopefully sound.
will save a packet for them as they were going to demolish everything apart from the ball room, now they dont need to
