All about Spike
Much love for Spike all around today , with
- crackers4jenn who gifted us with a second very entertaining and drool-worthy picspam - it's even better than the first one. I'm eagerly waiting for her post about Sleeper.:)
- calove who has written a gorgeous , enthralling ficlet featuring Spike / OC in Russia -1917. A must read .
And if we had to go back to the beginning , when did you fall in love with Spike ?

Or later ? Personally , I didn't like him very much when he first appeared on my tv screen.
Dazzled by his gorgeousness , the frightening combination of his beauty and his evilness , nothing more . Still I loved madly his first encounter with Buffy , his way of standing in the shadows drinking her beauty , playing the sexual predator , promising he would kill her "on Saturday".
I was dreaming of a violent and completely improbable relationship.
*happy sigh*
Was there a pivotal moment or was it a slow process?
Since I 'm predictable , I fell in love here :
With the Spike who started to be obsessed with the slayer.
I fell in love when he dreamed of her in his arms.He had started to be my favourite character before that , needless to say .. but it wasn't until after that scene that I was thoroughly lost and addicted.
I picked this moment as soon as I watched it for the first time and it never changed. Then I fell in love again , and again during many , many scenes between them.
And I must confess that , as deep my love for Spike is , I know with certainty that it wouldn't have be the same if someone else than James had played the role.
Don't get me started on his stunning ability to to convey a whole lot of different emotions in one shot.. :)
