To put it bluntly , I'm not interested in the Buffy comics soon to be released , nor do I care about what Joss has to say about it.I never expected a miracle , especially spuffy related , after the end of the shows ( Read more... )

And I'm a bit afraid of what the comic is going to be about. I'm a reader of comic books , but I 'm sure i 'll be disappointed with it.
Joss didn't often give me what I wanted , far from it !

Now that the screen has faded to black , the characters are free. Free of Joss. And I made them mine, loving them. Loving them madly.
I'm pleased with the way you put it ! I can regard fictional characters as belonging to those who read about them , or watch them..

Let's hope that fanfics authors only take good things from the comic.

You always talk so lovingly of Buffy and Spike. *happy sigh*

You don't need Joss , obviously. ;-)

Joss didn't often give me what I wanted , far from it !
And from the sound of his last interview , it seems that some things didn't change.I bet he's able to kill Giles , or even Spike.

I can regard fictional characters as belonging to those who read about them , or watch them..
I always thought that , once the characters are thrown into the public area , they don't belong to their author anymore.. I mean not entirely anyway.
You see what I mean. :)

I'm very grateful to Joss for creating this verse , however I can do without him from now on.

I bet he's able to kill Giles , or even Spike. Now you make me very afraid. What if season 8 comics is successful and he decides to write season 9???!!!!

they don't belong to their author anymore.. Oh I know perfectly well what you mean. We do take possession of some of them .

I'm very grateful to Joss for creating this verse. i'm grateful to - just remember that he had other writers around him .

This is a nice thing to hear. I was tempted to write fiction, I had things to tell about them, but writing in French means that I wouldn't get a big audience.
I write original novels however.- or is attempting to. :)

I love your approach, I was looking for the comics, I really was, but then Joss interviews and the previews I've seen´from the comics are not really what I expected.

I know there are some fans out there who don't understand why other fans don't accept the change. Personally, I believe that many have got the idea that Joss wants to change the canon and that is something that is very difficult to accomplish in a comic. I give more credit to the tv series for setting the standards.

Anyway, if scans are provided I'll watch them, but I have made a promise to myself about not being disappointed if Joss turns Xander in Buffy's true love. :)

I wasn't thrilled with his project of a Spike movie and relieved that it didn't happen.
Joss wasn't always fair to his characters. That doesn't mean that there won't be interesting little bits in the new story but..
Joss can claim that the comic is canon , it doesn't matter to me.

very eloquent and also very true for me. i'll admit i was mildly interested at first in the comic, but i refused to get my hopes up because i knew it would get messed up somehow...and look at that...it did! :D No thanks, i like MY fluffy spuffy season 8 much better *smile*

I enjoy comics and I would have been delighted to discover something new from the Buffyverse , yet it seems that Joss likes to disappoint us , no matter what.

i knew it would get messed up somehow...and look at that...it did!
No Angel , no Spike , and Buffy's " true love" ? Seriously scary !

i like MY fluffy spuffy season 8 much better Oh yeah !
The best season 8 is here ,on the Net. :)
