Not sure how much use this will be, but here it is just in case. Any ideas, concerns, or suggestions about the journey to Ancient Highway? Put 'em here!
Okay, uh. I am back, so I can discuss, and now I'm trying to remember what was in the PM.
It will be really time-consuming to log the ENTIRE trip, end to end, and I doubt much of interest will happen on the actual journey itself despite a few random monster encounters to pad everyone's wallets/prepare them to work as a full party. I'm sure the more logworthy stuff would be arriving at or exploring the Great Hollow, and exploring the ruins. I agree that we don't want to be logging this thing forever, considering the trip itself should only be lasting about a week or so and we should have some idea of how it went, what they found, and whether anybody got themselves injured (or bought some shiny things at the Hollow) in order to post the return of the party in a timely manner.
That said...let me get with G to make sure Geddoe and Sigurd are on the same page about some things and I'll jump into the log. It may not be tonight (Sunday) since I'm exhausted from the drive and may be in bed earlier than I expected.
I'm happy enough with hitting up just Great Hollow and the ruins. I think that will be enough to make the party members never want to see each others' faces again. :P
Welcome back, and take your time. I think that Sieg- and Chrodechild-muns are preoccupied enough with their cavern exploring log.
I suggest after our "role call" posts (everyone shows up who's going and is ready to go) we just "fade to next scene" and be arriving at Great Hollow.
Would it be okay if... by tomorrow some posters haven't showed, let's just jump scene anyway? Roberto hasn't reappeared since his initial "I'm back" post, so I'd say until we hear otherwise, assume he stayed behind at Budehuc (it was Chrodechild wanting him to come along as that's what she'd want, but I don't want to push the player into doing something she doesn't have time for), and we can assume Kasumi is silently ninja scouting until she appears.
Works for me. I have a few things to do today but I'll ensure Geddoe and Sigurd are there at least. In fact, let me do that now.
We can use the discussion thread here to decide how many battles they got in and how the one night camping went. :D It's been cold at night here lately, I bet it's just as chilly on the Yaza Plains this time of year.
I'm here and back, and about to post. I know Geddoe-mun and Kasumi/Sigurd-mun are hiatusing, but will tag when they can, so let's just plug along as we can. Hopefully Roberto will be able to tag in soon.
If it's okay, let's try to speed up a little through Great Hollow and get to the Ancient Highway.
Other issue: Since this is going a little slowly, we should probably decide a day that we "return" from our trip. There's a lot going on at Budehuc with the bandits, the renovations, and some new arrivals, and I'm sure everyone would like to jump in and participate, even if this thread isn't finished yet. I think it's what--a day and a half to Great Hollow, assume a couple days exploring, then a day and a half home? So we could even say that everybody returns to Budehuc--heck, maybe even tomorrow? Just if we haven't finished our adventure, we only vaguely discuss how it went until we finish this thread
( ... )
Damn, you weren't kidding about speeding through. :P I do agree about the necessity of it, though. I wouldn't mind arriving back at Budehuc sometime soon.
Do the Sindar Ruins in Suikoden III have a boss at the end when you revisit them? I can't remember for the life of me. Just troll dragons are fine by me, though. I have to confess that I don't entirely remember what the Sindar Ruins looked like in the game (though I'll try to get a refresher on that), but wasn't it kinda generically... ruin-y? Haha. I guess that the mysterious ruins all over the place in Tierkreis or even the Tower of the Way(??) could be comparable.

HAH. TRUE though. All ruins are...ruins in the end. 8D
