I'm glad to see more of this fic. I really like how these guys are still sort of ... weird about each other some times, just not very sure of how much or what support to give when.

Thank you! And thank you for acknowledging the weirdness, because even if they've been dating for nearly ten months, they're essentially breaking new ground every time they encounter something that's not part of their established routine. After Chad's mother talked about how she and her husband dealt with their son when he was sick and injured, Ryan wasn't sure what his role should be when Mr. Danforth returned--in spite of the fact that Ms. Danforth made it clear to him a day earlier that he's family.

Don't worry--Chad totally straightens that out in the next part.

*sniffle* I am actually tearing up because of the end of this. Yes, I know Chad's the one in the hospital but poor Ryan!! Maybe he should take a trip to see Chris too. Poor thing feels like he's not helping at all. *shakes head; shouts to Ryan* You help just by being there!

Ryan's sleep-deprived, worried about his honey, unsure about where he belongs in the picture... He'll be back and Chad will make sure Ryan knows his place is at his side.

Ack! I knew I shouldn't have gone to sleep last night! Poor Chad. Poor Ryan! He needs lots of hugs and reassurances. That voicemail is seriously traumatic in its own right, poor baby. *pets him*

And you'd better not get caught petting him. Chad is not THAT sick. ;)

*grin* I doubt he'd worry; I'm a girl! Ryan would only notice me if I were petting CHAD! (And then, you know, I'd be running for cover!)
