Man. No one is going to believe me when I get back home. All my teachers and the assistant principal will think I'm playing hookie by now. [He sort of says this as a half joke. But skipping school and then getting grounded is the very least of his worries...]

I once wanted to be the hero on my school's basketball team, just like Tom was.

But then I got swamped with so much homework not long after that. In which sucks...

[He stops himself before mentioning any other details concerning Tom. He'd rather avoid any talk about the Sharing. For now anyway.]

[a chuckle... Hercules supposedly has never heard of Batman, or Spider-Man. It's nice thinking a bit about that stuff. A nice little distraction from harsh reality.]

Some dress up in spandex or whatever to hide their true identities. Or to what I know about, in comics.

...Or do you not get those where you're from?

Okay. If you have books in your world, comics have more pictures in them. The superheroes portrayed in them dress up in costumes so to protect themselves and their loved ones from their enemies.

I might have one or two to show you sometime. I'll have to check and see if I packed any into my backpack while getting ready for school.
