Alcohol is a bad thing. I am sorry, but it is a poison. I think if it was only ever a glass of wine with a meal, then great. But no one does just that, and it gets out of control.

Almost anything taken in excess or under the wrong circumstances can be considered a poison. Certainly McDonald's Hamburgers fit into that catagory.

Don't say that no one does that because that is all that I do and I am certainly someone.

By educating, children much of the problems associated with alchohol can be avoided. That is of the reasons, why I am against age limits with respect to alcohol.

Too right you are.

The US has this arse-backwards. Why is it that you can be put in charge of several tones of speeding metal when you're 16 but what's this, you want a beer? Wait another 5 years until you're older and can be trusted, sonny boy.

As for the wine thing, any Frenchmen in the family?

No French men that I know of. Various british on my fathers side. Nicholas Jacob arrived in the Plymouth Colony on June 15, 1633 and German and Swedish on my mothers side.

I do like the French having lived in Paris for a year and a half, however.
