My Congressman is Doug Lamborn. The county that I live in has probably 2,000 people eligible to vote. For purposes of the congressional district it includes Colorado Springs about 70 miles away which has over 300,000 registered voters. And it is also the the home of many ultra right wing groups such as "Focus on the Family."
In Mr. Lamborn's defense he has several town halls via telephone every year and I am always called and I give my opinion and reasons for my opinion, and since I am a hard core socialist it is amazing that I have been on multiple times. But then considering the audience in Colorado Springs, maybe he considers me comic relief. :-)
