IT'S SO COOL AND SHE IS SO PROUD OF IT.

I ready BV too! Good stuff, I hope it gets licensed despite the angst. I'd definitely buy it.

Looks like the first four volumes are already out from Viz, but if you want to sample before buying blind, it's at onemanga.com. That's where I started reading, but I like it so much I'm going to buy the books when I go to Kinokuniya later today.

Oh, that sounds wonderful. I'll absolutely have to check that out.

Here's hoping this signifies a trend in female characterization in manga in general.

This is the second series I've read lately that has really good female characterization and doesn't just fall into stereotypes, and they were wildly different series to boot, so I'm happy. We need more of this.

Bitter Virgin, which is as of yet unlicensed but up in its entirety on onemanga. HEAVY angst, serious themes, but really good with good art too, and despite the fact that the main female lead has been horribly abused, she gets a lot more personality than just "victim", which I loved.

Loved reading High School Debut!

I found it after my frantic search for more Sand Chronicles. Haruna is a great heroine. I love the fact that she's so awkward and doesn't back down from any challenge.

"I will coach you... but you have to promise not to fall in love with me!"

HA! Yoh was sunk before he even finished that sentence. :)
