Whee!

Seriously, that was lovely, brief yet full, sketched out in three moments.

Eeee, this!

"I can also ride a bicycle," Hikaru told him

I'll just bet you can, Mr. Sulu.

I keep the same icon in my small collection for just this purpose - commenting on Sulu/Kirk awesomeness!!! Loved that you wrote about the crew doing their jobs, and Kirk and Sulu calculating their max speed (in their heads no less! Myself, I've let my mental math abilities decline). I liked the revelation about Sulu never having flown/driven on Earth. Also, um, hot sex was hot. And somehow sweet too, go figure. Anyway, I love this pairing so much and I love this story!

Thanks so much for the wonderful comment! People doing math is my secret kink; I'm very glad you enjoyed that bit. And I do think that Kirk and Sulu could be sweet together; their first encounter put them on such equal footing that I think an argument could be made that they're more mutually supportive of each other in the Reboot universe than in TOS, which makes for a lovely dynamic to my mind.

It took me quite a number of years to learn how to drive, and my hometown's public transportation isn't nearly as comprehensive as San Francisco's, so I have a lot of sympathy for Sulu's and your positions. :-) Thanks so much for the comment!
