Kind of how I imagined Brienne- not "horribly ugly" just plain and no frills. My kinda gal.

Definitely. I wonder how ugly she's actually supposed to be while being as objective as possible, she's never really described in detail in her POVs (that I can remember), and obviously other characters see her with a bias (I think I remember Catelyn treating her looks more kindly than Jaime, for example).
