Writer's Block: Agree to disagree

This is funny to me because I just could not image not wanting to be friends with someone because of loyalty to something. Loyality is one of the things I find most attractive in friends.  Plus differences in opinion is great. If we all thought the same way no one would EVER grow. It's the ability to discuss things that makes me so happy. The only ( Read more... )

No I haven't and I can agree to disagree so that's not usually a problem for me. The only thing I can say is I have certain restrictions on people I associate with because of where I work. Also, and this is going to sound bad because the people would need you most at this point, if someone were into Satanism, it would give me serious pause. I know people need your help when they're in certain situations but they also have to want to get help. If someone didn't want to get help and they worshipped the Devil, I don't know that I could be the person God wants me to be. I guess I'd have to be faced with it but I hope I don't ever have to be. *hugs*

Well heaven knows we have "agreed to disagree" on a lot of things before. *laughing* I try to keep an open mind about things, but satanism would definitely give me pause as well, so I agree...and not to disagree this time. *laughing*

I don't have any problem about agreeing to disagree and I do feel that every person is entitled to their own opinion. However, I cannot be friends with someone that is constantly trying to push their views on to me. I will say that I tend to be drawn toward people that are open minded though.

That is such a big thing for me too. I can handle discussing things with people, but as soon as they start to get pushy with their opinions, I get annoyed real quick. *sigh*

What a boring world it would be if we were all alike. Our differences is what makes the world interesting. I make my beliefs known, but I try not to push them on anyone because I don't want them doing that to me. I tend to be pretty conservative, but believe everyone has the right to their own opinions as long as they don't expect me to always share them.

Amen! This is my way of thinking too. Let everyone believe what they will. I like having discussions with people, but I CAN'T stand when people shove their views on me. I'm an adult and can think for myself. *shakes head*
