So yesterday I was going through my email and I got two comments on my Doris video to the song Damaged. Let me tell you, I was shocked. Those videos have been up for over a year and rarely get watched let alone commented on. The first comment was basic: Nice video, I liked the editing, really like the song.

Honestly, I was pro-Olivia/Natalia, but I have no clue why they felt like they had to make Doris a lesbian as well. She had such potential with Buzz. However, if this turn of events led to a bigger storyline for Orlagh, then I would be all for that. She is vastly underused on that show. I guess none of it really matters since the show is gone in a few months anyway. But, yay that people are still enjoying your fabulous videos!

I really have nothing against Natalia and Olivia. I actually think the show built the couple right. It was slow and started out as friendship that progressed. That is the type of story I like. The part that kills me is Frank getting hurt again. *sigh* It's like the writers have some vendetta against the Cooper family...except for Marina and Daisy. *shakes head* As for Doris... I'm so upset with their decision to make her gay. There was no reason for that and I'll always think of what could have been. I really do wish Orlagh was given some fantastic story from this crap, but she's being used as a prop from what I can see. She is so talented and so underused. *sigh*

I agree with you Jai, it's not that I have anything against Olivia and Natalia but why can't they give Frank a break. As you say, he has been on there for so long and when was the last time he had a serious romance. As for Doris I think making her a lesbian is just idiotic. This is why the show is so freakin bad. They give us all of these idiotic storylines from out of nowhere and expect us to buy them? Case in point: Coop and Beth!!! We see a thirty second flashback of how their relationship started and we are expected to believe that this is the love story of the century. This is why GL has been cancelled. Sorry for the rant *grin*. I needed to get that off my chest. srobinso21

Poor Frank D. He just can't win. The last real epic, true romance he had to act out was when Eleni was still there and that was back in the early to mid 1990s. After that the show almost never used him then Frank started dating Olivia but Buzz stole her. Now Olivia is stealing Natalia from him. That's just wrong. *sigh* Doris should not be a lesbian. That "surprise" was idiotic. There is no set-up for the crap anymore. You gave a perfect example in Coop and Beth. The writers KNEW there would be backlash so they intentionally did it the way they did and it ended up ruining Coop's character and made John's last few months unbearable to watch. It really isn't any shock that the show is cancelled but what a way to leave the airwaves after so long... it's so sad. *shakes head sadly*

I totally agree with your thoughts. I really, really wanted Frank to finally have someone to love him. I think he really loves Natalia, and the old Natalia would have been perfect for him. I also wanted to see a Buzz/Doris pairing. I think they had amazing chemistry. But, as already stated we'll never see what could have been.--BettyB

I don't think the Natalia/Olivia pairing would bother me so bad had Frank not been in the middle with no hope of him winning. He really has been crapped on so many times. *sigh* The chemistry that was wasted when the show decided to stay the course with Boring!Lillian and Buzz was...*sighs again* The writers missed so many opportunites and now they shot themselves in the foot with Doris is gay. The only happy thought I have when I think about this show is that I had a good year and a half of Cooplee, made fantastic friends, had fun writing the show my way and I don't even think about the IIC anymore other than to laugh that they screwed up so bad.

First, yayyy that someone is seeing and commenting on your videos so long after you first posted. I think that's great. Second, I know how upset you have been about the Doris being a lesbian thing but don't worry cause come August/September, it'll be moot. Third, I read in the Soap Digest for sweeps (I think) that Frank will be hurt but he'll move on. He'll help Rafe deal with shocking news (I'm guessing that she's a lesbian but I could be wrong). It says that Frank is heading for new love with a familiar face. So hopefully, before the show is done, Frank will find love and at least THAT they will have gotten right *grins* *hugs*

It was really exciting to see some people still watch my videos, especially the Doris ones. I was so alone in that "fandom" for so long. *laughing* Orlagh deserves to have a lot of fans. *grin* I am upset with the "Doris is gay" storyline, but I'm even more upset when people rub it in my face. *looks pointedly at your icon* I'm so out of the loop where soaps are concerned most days I can pretend they don't exist and Doris is with Buzz on an Island somewhere and Cooplee is in England visiting his family. *laughing* Denial rocks. I really do hope that Frank does get someone at the end of the show because he has been shit on enough. *sigh* **hugs**
