Hey, girlie! I have to say that the whole anti-war plow thing didn't even occur to me in that respect. I think it's kind of interesting that they want to take on the US government, which is actually something I haven't seen before, so I thought that was kind of cool. I find both the republican and democratic parties to be a bit too conservative for me. *laughing* I'm like uber-liberal, so maybe that's why I wasn't bothered. I don't think you are overreacting though, I think you feel how you feel and there is nothing wrong with that. *nods firmly*

I loved when Maxie was bitching at Win. I know Spin was upset and hurt by her words, but a part of me just loved it. *grin* And, she really is just trying to protect Spin, in her own way, so I can't really fault her, ya know? I think one of the reasons I don't mind how bitchy and snarky she can be is because she owns it.

Love, love, loved the Maxie and Sam scenes. I'll try and get some Maxie/Sam icons in my next batch. *wink*

I'm probably overly sensitive about it. *laughing* I've seen so many shows take the stance that Republicans views are bad/Democratics views are good. So when I feel like it's happening, my hair stands up like a cat and I'm ready to fight. *laughing* To be completely honest, if I wasn't raised Republican I can't say where I would have gone because like you I feel both parties are very strict. But i guess nothing is perfect. *shrugs* I really hope this storyline doesn't take the route I fear because I don't want to be annoyed all the time. I love GH right now. *pleads with Guza*

Maxie is awesome. I loved her scenes. I actually think she was nicer to Winnie than she should of been. The Maxie of the past would have been much more vicious. *laughing* Heaven knows Winnie deserves Maxie at full force. And knowing that she was protecting Spin makes it that much sweeter. *grin*

YAY! *happy dance* Thank you! I can't wait to see what you come up with. **hugs**

Hey Jai! So I understand your reasons for disliking the push of political agendas in the Nik/Nadine s/l. I don't think you should feel bad about being a Republican though. Personally, I didn't see it as an anti-war message, but more as an anti-business corporations. It was interesting b/c as I watched this I thought of the documentary I had just seen for my film class "Why We Fight", it's pretty awesome, and basically reflects what is going in the N/N story. Unfortunately, corporations are taking advantage of this tragic war to make money on it. I loved the idea of them taking on this big corporation, it reminded me of the movie "Runaway Jury". But I second your statement on pushing agendas, I hate when anyone does that.

Maxie was beyond awesome today. True Spinelli was hurt by her attitude, but it comes from a pure place. Sometimes we have to hurt the ones we love (cuz we all know she does) in order to protect them.

I love any scene with Sam and Maxie. I love those women, they are who they are and don't apologize for it.~

It really annoys me when writers/actors/shows/people try to push their way of thinking onto others. That is a hot button topic with me because I've had it happen way too many times in the past. Especially when people hear I'm a republican. So maybe I read too much into the words that were spoken in the N/N scenes today. *laughing* It wouldn't be the first time. *grin* You are probably right about where the show is going with this. Corporations are making too much money off the blood of our armed forces. *growls* It's unfair and disgusting to think about really.

Maxie is just made of win. *laughing* I love watching her claws come out because we haven't seen this side of her in a while. I felt bad for Spin, but I wished she had been more vicious with Winnie. *laughing* I'm not nice.

Sam and Maxie's friendship is so much fun. These two women are perfect together. I wish we could get more of them in these type of scenes. *grin*

Yea, I understand. I have had people try to push their way of thinking on me as well, but I think for me it was mostly because I have no political affiliations. I guess I could say I'm liberal. But mostly I just care that everyone has their rights spoken for and no one should suffer laws based on intolerance and rrejudice. It's a tad idealistic but those are most important to me.

I agree. Everyone should have their voice heard. *grin* Oh and idealistic isn't a bad way to be at all. I wish more people would have that kind of openness. **hugs**

I'm just catching up on this week's posts. People pushing their agendas is a BIG turn-off for me. I see it on almost everything on tv, even children's movies. I think everyone should be proud of who they are and what they believe. Is that not why we fight for freedom? At the risk of marking myself, I will freely admit I am a republican. I too was raised that way, but I choose to stay that way. I don't agree with everything my party stands for, I don't understand how anyone could. I would say I am a typical midwestern conservative. I agree with you Jai, if I want to know more about a current issue, I can find the information myself. I don't need it shoved down my throat while watching a sitcom for enjoyment.

The entertainment world is not about entertainment anymore and that is so annoying. I feel like the writers and actors think that we actually care about their views and I just don't. I'm a person that can form my own opinions. *sigh* I'm definitely a proud Republican. If someone asks me, I have no problem letting them know where I stand. But a sure fire way to tick me off and set off my fuse, is to force your ideas on me and it's happening a lot in shows. *sigh* So frustrating. I'm so glad that you feel like pain, girlie. It's nice to know I'm not alone. ***hugs***
