Two-Word Drabbles

Title: Puppy Drabbles
Rating: G
Pairing: Andy/Miranda (established)
Summary: Two-word drabbles involving the Priestly family.
Disclaimer: I don’t own the rights to The Devil Wears Prada or any of its characters.
A/N1: These drabbles would follow No Words in my series of DWP stories.
A/N2: Thank you Punky96 for looking this over. I really appreciate your help. That said, any and all mistakes are mine.
A/N3: Since I was working on another story, I had no intention of doing any drabbles. Punky asked me to beta her work and I looked at the list of prompts. So once again, this is your fault Dee (mxrolkr). Thank you.

Unintended Consequence (theruinedcastle)

Andy rounded the doorframe and almost plowed into Miranda’s back. Arms crossed and lips pursed, her wife was staring at something on the bedroom floor. Andy traced Miranda’s gaze and felt her heart plummet. This was bad. So very bad.

“This is entirely your fault, Andrea.” Miranda’s tone was reminiscent of the Cerulean lecture.

Eyes wide with disbelief, Andy stared at her wife. “My fault?” She asked as she waved frantically at the carnage on the floor.

“Yes, if you hadn’t distracted me last night this never would have happened.” Miranda sighed with regret. She would really miss those shoes.

She’s Gone (pure-ecstasy6)

Cassidy saved her document and pushed her laptop away. Glancing towards the bed she expected to see a sleeping beagle puppy. What she did see was a slight indentation in the blanket. An empty indentation.

Jumping up, Cassidy quickly checked her bathroom, the closet, and under her bed. Looking around her room she finally realized that her bedroom door wasn’t completely closed. Racing out into the hall she frantically searched for the wayward puppy. Only one other door was open on the third-floor hallway.

Running towards that door, Cassidy skidded to a halt as she grabbed the doorframe.

“She’s gone!”

Red Soles (heartassassin)

When everyone split up to look for the wayward puppy, Andy bowed out to feed Catherine. Andy enjoyed the quiet bonding times of breast feeding her baby. No matter what kind of a day she was having, a few minutes holding her daughter and the rest of the world disappeared.

When Catherine finished, Andy closed up her shirt and continued to gently rock. Soon the baby was asleep and Andy carefully placed the baby in her crib. Stepping back, she nudged something on the floor between the crib and rocker.

Andy found the red soles of two mangled Christian Louboutins.

Soulful Eyes (fireun72)

Andy got down on her hands and knees and peered under the crib. Back in the corner chewing on a piece of leather was Meg.

“Come here, girl,” Andy whispered trying not to wake the sleeping baby. Meg just shook the leather strap and went back to chewing.

Andy was half under the crib and had her hand on the dog when she heard the door open.

“Andrea? What on earth are you doing?”

Squirming back out, she held the puppy to her chest as she sat on the floor.

Two sets of soulful brown eyes looked up at Miranda.

Have Mercy (lesbiannerd)

Flanked by the twins, Andy cradled the beagle puppy and looked up at Miranda as she paced in front of the couch.

Miranda paused, but before she could say anything Caroline blurted out “Please, Mom, have mercy!”

Miranda frowned. “Really, Caroline. Mercy? Compared to Patricia, Meg is a rank amateur.”

Andy’s jaw dropped. “You’re not mad?” She said as she hugged the puppy.

“Of course not.” Miranda sat as she explained. “Meg was bored. We need to walk her and play with her more. A tired dog is a happy dog.”

Caroline snatched the dog from Andy. “Let’s go, Cass.”

Bright Idea (Ioaz #19)

Miranda smirked at Andrea as her daughters raced to the backyard with their puppy.

“I thought you’d blow a gasket over the shoes.” Andy leaned back and stretched her arms out along the couch back.

“They’re only shoes, Andrea.” Miranda shrugged. “Patricia ate a pair of Prada pumps and Manlo sandals before I learned to put my shoes away in the closet.”

Andy smiled. “Until last night.”

“Yes, darling,” Miranda agreed as she moved to straddle Andy’s legs. Leaning in, she whispered in her wife’s ear, “Since it was your bright idea, you owe me a pair of Christian Lous.”
