It's kind of weird to see something as sprawling as a massive comics collection organized into such a --dare I say-- plain, sterile-looking environment. Still, I'm a bit overdue on this again, myself.
It'll have to wait. I have 4-disc DVD cases coming from Shop4Tech to pare down the space my 2008 Buying Binge has taken up. Yow!
Yeah, it could use a little jazzing up, couldn't it? It's just that one corner of the room that's "sterile," though...there's a lot of other crap goin' on in there still.

It's like a Library of Alexandria for comics! How long did it take start to finish? How many hours do you think all together?
You should really talk to USAA about renters insurance. For less than $20/mo your collection would be insured for fire or if a pipe burst upstairs and leaked on your Precious. Oh, man I sound like a grown-up!

I have no idea. It took probably 3 months of calendar time to do the whole thing, doing it in bits and pieces. I had everythign organized in traditional, top-loading longboxes, but I hadn't shuffled in new stuff I'd read in probably 2 years or more, so I had a lot of bagging and boarding to do as i transferred from longbox to drawer-box. I would usually do that while watching anime to kill two birds with one stone. Hour-wise, who knows? Probably a good 80-100 hours, if I had to guess.
I am impressed. Those are completely awesome boxes, too, as they do not require you to move the boxes on top to get to the ones on the bottom. I don't have more than maybe, 4 boxes of comics, but they are all the kind on the right there, and it's still a pain in the butt to get to stuff.
Yeah, that was the main reason why I got them. Every time I go to a convention, I like to fish out comics to get signed, but doing that when you have so many longboxes stacked on top of each other became a royal pain. The drawers are a breeze, though.
