Things have deteriorated enough here at work that I am going to submit my resignation. The intense level of effort combined with an atmosphere of perpetual failure is too much. And all for Wal-Mart. This place I've gotten myself into is simply unacceptable ( Read more... )

I'm sorry to hear of all the pettiness in your community work. I know. I've experienced it first hand and I couldn't stick with my principles to well on that account. Good Luck!

I must confess that I believe it is the profession, not the place. Although I do agree that the town of Oly may not be the best place to stay in the long run. There still is much parenting for my sons to be done, so its going to be a few years more...

Although I am going to be moving on.

But I must be methodical about it all, of course.
First I must scrub down the house and then fix all the tattered edges.

Then I must sell the house for what it is really worth.
Then I resign from the job and figure out something else to do with my life.

I'm thinking that buying a boat and having a warehouse loft to do my furniture design and stuff...
...and there's always neon.

I've taken a deep breath...

I'm going to clean up the house, fix it up and try to sell it BEFORE i quit my job. This is much smarter. Of course, the possibility for distraction and ultimate forgetting of all these plans is quite high I know...
