My parents were with a credit union for 15 years, but they got screwed over. I like our bank, Sterling.

i bank at usbank.
  • free student checking.
  • no minimum balance.
  • lthere could be $0.00 in your account and they will keep it open.
  • free box of checks.
  • online statements that are updated litterally seconds after you purchase something.
  • free debit card.

credit unions are good for getting loans but usually I think you get better extras like online banking and useful ATM locations from a national bank. I have a credit union account and a bank account. With a credit union it is uncommonly easy to get a loan with low interest and they are flexible with payments and stuff, but they just don't have any ATMs I can use for free. Good luck Jaf, unless you've already found one.
