Teal'c had two sticks ready in the Bantos area in New Atlantis. He would perhaps need three, but he had only made two so far. He would assess the situation today before deciding whether another was required

As usual, she was slightly early, dressed in the gray and while pipped tunic she managed to snag this morning. The box seemed to be favoring tunics of late, much to her frustration, along with relatively loose gray drawstring pants. At the very least, they were comfortable.

She found a seat on the nearest bench and waved at Teal'c.

"Never late," she said with a laugh. She was actually about ten minutes early.

At Doctor Lam's wave Teal'c went over and gave her a nod. "Indeed." He was glad he had been early also. "Yet Colonel Mitchell has not yet arrived."

"I'm sure he'll be here soon enough. If he's late, you can always blame his cat. She's...more than a handful," Lam said with a smile as she eyed the sticks for awhile.

"I shouldn't be too bad at this, seeing as i took basic self defense." She winced and amended that. "But I was fairly young the last time I did anything like that. I guess the only way to learn something is to simply dive into it and do your best."

He raised an eyebrow. "The cat is only small." He did not think that anything that small could be termed 'a handful'.

"With your self defense and Lok'nel I believe you are well prepared to begin learning. But you should know it can take several years before you are good enough to defend yourself properly." He did not think that would put Doctor Lam off and he did not say it in order to prevent her from learning, but he wanted her to know what to expect.
