Tears were in my eyes today after my son told me proudly his exam results. Not because of the marks themselves, who were excellent, but because of the journey that took him there.  It was a journey of ups and downs, of blazers put down toilets , infinite ties cut to shreads and weeks of hardly going to school but somehow we survived that rough ( Read more... )

Thank you. When I think of him even 5 years ago to now I can't but marvel at his progress.
The A levels are still to come,we hope. These were the results for GCSEs, the exams they do at 16, the A*s were his grade(they go from A* to F). He did brilliantly but things are never straight forward,as you know, and he often asks if he needs to go on to do A levels, it's change, and although we have been preparing for it, it will be another hurdle to cross .

And congratulations from me too! To both your son and you because I know you've worked hard at keeping him on track despite the early difficulties. (And my daughter was out at a sleepover too last night. Seems kids can't celebrate in daylight hours any more!)

Huge, huge congratulations! He's done a wonderful job! And, he would not have done it without such supportive parents (trust a teacher who knows!).
