Gotta admit, the game looks incredibly awesome at full settings with ambient occlusion on for the light/shade effects. Very smooth gradients.

Behold Jaerik in his fabulously metro gladiator outfit, as due to the total lack of item content in beta, he's still completely unable to find anything else to buy.

The game does look nice. My laptop probably can't run it though, at least not at settings that would look nice.

I ran the benchmark tool on my computer (2.0GHz Athlon64, 2GB RAM, 512MB video card) and even on low settings it was shockingly pretty. And the parts in that computer (save for the video card duh) are 6 years old. I mean yeah, not as pretty as what Captain Metro's supercomputer gets, but you still might be surprised at how well/pretty it DOES run.

That's one thing interesting about this game. Every "accessory" slot in your equipment actually does show up on your character.

Some gladiator harness... thing. It's not terribly effective armor.

As I recall, Roman gladiators weren't known for wearing much in the way of protective armor. They'd go shirtless with a sword and board. That's how real men fight!
