Monday was a pretty great day. Went knitting all day, Alex did great during his shots and got a surprise package in the mail!!! It was a birthday gift from Anita! Loved it! A cute little card (that truthfully said that Taurus' have a strange want to collect cats) and some beautiful yarn and a little bag that is big enough to use for socks on the go! Thank you so much Anita! It is beautiful and I'm so happy!
Then tuesday happened. Eric woke me up with a phone call. He hit oil and lost control of his motorcycle... He got it up and got to work but it was in pretty bad shape. so, I drove as fast as I could (in the rain on a horribly car accident prone day) and took pictures of the bike and felt E down in front of his class of students (yeah, he was teaching motorcycle safety yesterday, go figure). He kept telling me that he was fine, but I refuse to believe it. So I whined and cried til he went to the hospital, this morning. He sprained his neck and is nicely bruised.
The bike is fixable, but that is a great way to spend money... His bike will be the death of me, I swear.
Then I got to go to the hospital pregnancy breafing. I was the OLDEST chick in the room. Next to the 14 yo and the 16 yo and the 3 new wives that are 18... Yeah, I felt old yesterday. Then the next oldest was 25 with 3 kids... all 12 months apart. I would be having an operation if I had 3 a year apart and expecting 4... But I had to sit will all these kids and go over all what it is like to be pregnant... Oh yeah. And sigh lots of forms... for EVERYTHING! I have 2 hours to name the baby or get fined $20... huh? But I signed it, again...
Then I had to stay around Hurlbert so that I could take E home and get the trailer to get the bike. No way that I was letting him ride it until the handlebars are fixed. So that was a wonderful sit in the sun and knit (I had knitting with me, so that was a plus). BUt the bike is home, in the garage and waiting to get fixed.
So, hopefully the rest of the week will be more monday-ish and less tuesday ish.
