Well, at the very least put together a parts list. That might trigger some memory. Write down what you can to describe it. Also, I hear that scents help trigger memory. You should think really hard about what you want to make while exposing yourself to a unique scent. Keep a scent sample with the written materials, and you can sniff it when you want to remind yourself what you were going to make.
