So I am kind of hating teal right now, in spite of the fact that I actually like the color. I am having the WORST luck finding a match. I went to Perth Street and went to all the stores today. I found like three color matches, but not in the fabric that I like or need. I even hit the fabric stores on Midway just north of Beltline. Still no luck. I

Oh no! I wish I had a suggestion for you, but I think you've hit all the fabric stores that I know of, other than Fabrique (which is usually stupidly expensive). Finding a color like that is so hard.

I did find ONE bridal shiny satin that was a really close match, but I so wanted a silk. :-/ So now I have the dilemma: do I compromise and get the shiny satin, or try to find something I like online... I guess I need to see if there were shiny Regency dresses. I never looked for that specifically before. /sigh Because really, my options seem to be a regency dress in a fabric less than ideal, OR a traditional bridesmaid dress.

What would you do??

I think I'd go ahead and make it in the satin. I'd rather have a not-perfect Regency dress than a modern dress.

Ok, cool. I was strongly leaning that way, myself! Cuz.... modern bridesmaid dresses are just not my thing, and I'd STILL be out the $100+ with a dress I'd only wear once. So I've ordered some swatches, and if I can't find anything that I love by Friday, I'll go back and get that bridal satin.

So I won't have my shiny new dress by Saturday (obviously), but I'll keep plugging away at my functional mock-up, which hopefully will be done for our party. :) White again, but hey. It'll be pretty!
