Time to do some shameless bragging. Results for the 2009 Middle-earth Fanfiction Awards have been announced and, again, reviewers have been very kind to me.

Say, NiRi, I would like to do some self-customizing of winners banners. What photo-editing software do you use to get the full light shadow behind your text? I was attempting to do some last night, and all I could get was down and to the right, which left text illegible against a dark background.

I use Photoshop CS2 but many of the effects are also in Photoshop elements. What program are you using? I know absolutely nothing about GIMP, which is the free program. I really enjoy Photoshop but it's a pain in the ass to learn to use. If you're using Elements, I can recommend a very good group for learning to use the program.

I'm using neither. All I have on this computer is MSPaint and something called Arcsoft Photo Studio, which came with my digital camera, I think.

Yo no tengo Photoshop. I wish I did.

A hearty congratulations on the well-deserved placings! And *ahem* there are fics there which were on my wish list that have contributed to my self-flagellation, in particular "Last Temptation..." which I followed avidly on the Den o' Skinks.
