I vacuumed the living room this morning. Riley almost let me use the canister vac on him the other day, because it's quieter, but he's terrified of the upright vacuum. I called him into the bedroom and closed the door on him and Cola, got out the upright and quickly cleaned the living room carpet. After I put it away I opened the door. No sign of

Yeah, you are so right about the look of betrayal. ;-)

His fur is always like that. Some of his hair is just longer than the rest of his coat. Makes him look like he has encountered permanent static electricity. :)

When I vacuumed for the first time after I got him as a wee thing he ran for cover. I found him in a similar pose on top of the stove huddling just back of the burners. Luckily it wasn't on at the time.
