First off, I wanna just say 'Hi'! I got pulled into DBSK by a friend, and have spent the last few days trawling through Youtube for JaeHoness, and also of course the Jaeho Directory. ^^; These two are way too cute and snuggly and I vastly enjoy squeeing over them. hem. ^^; I however know NO Korean what so ever, and any info I know has been obtained by reading fanfics, and also from watching their Japanese apperances on YouTube as I know a little Japanese (I ♡ J-pop too. ♡ for YamaPi! XD). SO. If I am ever wrong on anything, please please please correct me!
And just randomly, even though I love Jaeho to bits, Changmin has to be my fav DBSKer. ^^; He's just so cute and smiley!
I offer then as my first post, a fic. I have not actually written anything (not even a school paper) in over a year, and haven't delved into fanfics for a longer period, so I'm afraid I'm rather rusty. This was also quickly written and not proof read... so please pardon any mistakes!
Title: Candy Bandits (ZOMG I suck at titles)
Pairing: Jaeho-ish, and a little OT5 I guess. ^^;
Rating: PG
Summary: Just a night in the DBSK appartment. Snuggles, puppy-piles and candy stealing ensue.
Warning: Beware the fluff, and I'm sure many spelling/gramatical errors.
Wandering into the bedroom after cleaning up the remaining dishes from dinner, Jaejoong weaved his way to his bed, curling up on the covers and watching his three younger band mates. Changmin was on his own bed, book in one hand and brandishing a highlighter in the other, a look of concentration covering his open face. Across from Jae were Junsu and Yoochun, both sitting on the formers’ bed cross-legged, engrossed in one of their complicated card games Jae had never quite understood properly. There was a little pile of sweets next to each of them. Wrapping his arms around his knees, Jaejoong stared out the large bay windows of their bedroom and into the city night, eyes not seeing the artificial lights of the buildings below. Rather, they focused on the pinpricks of lights shining from above - few and far between here in Seoul, but beautiful none the less.
A little while later, the door opened again and Yunho’s slim figure appeared. Both Jae and Junsu looked up, but Junsu’s gaze was quickly recaptured when his inattention to the game caused a triumphant crow from Yoochun. Letting out a small giggle at the two of them, Jaejoong hid his grin behind his knees, ducking his head down so that only his eyes and forehead peeked out. Yunho in turned grinned at this sight, coming over and flopping down beside Jae on the boy’s bed. He scooted back slightly, leaning up against the wall next to Jae and letting himself slump down a little, tired muscles relaxing into a quite undignified sprawl. The other boy on the bed turned his head so that one dark eye peeked at him, faint amusement still evident in it. Yunho flashed him a wide smile, pleased to be able to catch a few minutes of relaxation before bed… pleased to be here, taking up so much space next to the ball of a boy who would light up the room with his smile if he’d only stop being bashful.
Unbidden, a yawn crept up on Yunho, and he let his face stretch widely with it. Jae’s head turned further, and he looked the band-leader over, noticing the worn look he had. They all had it really - it had become a constant state of being that lurked under the smiles and playful jokes. They were all tired, worn out from practice and a constant parade of interviews, photoshoots and appearances. Not that any of them would complain, of course, but it was a gruelling schedule for them.
Yunho blinked away the yawn, sniffing once, and Jae shuffled backwards slightly, letting the grip he had on his legs go so that his body could unfold a little. Soon he too was propped up against the wall, and he rolled his head sideways to look at his band mate.
“Tired?” He said, almost unnecessarily.
“Mmm.” Yuhno murmured, nodding slowly. “Always.” He laughed a little, and Jae smiled wearily too. “But it’s okay. We’re okay.” The arm that had been trapped behind Jae when the other boy moved back now curled around the warm body, coming to rest lightly on the curve of Jaejoong’s hip.
“You should sleep.” Jaejoong told him, eyebrows furrowing down a little, and Yuhno’s drooping eyes turned to him, laughter filling them with more life once more as the boy laughed lightly.
“Yes mum. I will… soon. Let Changmin finish his chapter and those two finish their game… then, my good little wife, I shall sleep.” He teased, and Jae rolled his eyes.
“Oh you - !”
“I can stop anytime you know. We should probably all go to bed.” Changmin said, interrupting whatever comeback Jaejoong might have produced. The youngest member looked up from his book and pinned the two of them with one of his ‘looks’. “And I’m only a foot away from you, it’s not like I can’t hear you guys.” He added.
Jae huffed at the reply, and resisted poking out his tongue at the other boy. Yuhno just laughed again, letting his head fall back against the wall and his eyes droop down, a happy tilt to his lips lightening his face. Jae put his left hand down to rub absently at Yuhno’s knee, fingers playing with the worn denim there. Changmin was still looking over at them, hair flopping into his eyes slightly in a way that would have made him look younger if not for the knowing look of a man that lurked in his eyes. Jae shook his head slightly.
“I know Minnie - but you’ve barely had any time to do any kind of school work recently. I don’t want to cut into your study.” He said eventually. The band had been flat out with just their band commitments, and the other members knew Changmin’s work had fallen by the wayside a little, despite the young man’s efforts to keep up. There were simply not enough hours in the day.
Changmin considered this for just a moment, before the tired, cynical look faded, leaving him with the sweet, charming smile that had captured many a fan.
“Don’t worry so much, hyung. I’ll be fine. I can work out in the kitchen if I need too - I’m not going to interrupt you guys’ sleep.” He said, words just as sweet as his smile. Jae couldn’t help but return the later.
“You’ve got such an expressive face.” The older said after a minute, choosing not to argue with Changmin, forgoing having to actually pursue the conversation as they both knew exactly how it would play out. It was the right choice, he thought, when Changmin’s smile grew to show his teeth, and a happy shine entered his eyes.
“Why thank you, Jaejoongie… I didn’t know you’d noticed me so!” He exclaimed playfully, and Jae smiled at him fondly.
“Come here, you.” The older boy demanded, reaching out with his right hand to beckon Changmin to him. Smiling still, the younger one closed his book and set it carefully with its mates in a neat stack by his bed, before rolling off said bed to stand by Jae’s. Then long limbs were folding up and he bounced onto the bed near his elder band mates’ feet. Crawling around to meet Jae’s outstretched arm, Min sat down by the band mother, turning so that he could rest his head half on Jae’s chest, half on his lap, while the outstretched arm came in to wrap around his chest. Min wriggled slightly to make himself comfortable, snuggling against Jae’s folded legs, and beamed up at the other. Jaejoong smiled back down at him, the smile far less weary then it had been before and far more content instead. Yuhno peaked open an eye and looked at the both of them, his smile remaining as he watched them. He gave Jae a gentle squeeze on the hip, causing the other boy to look over at him so that all three were sharing in the smile. Their little reverie however was soon broken by an indignant shout.
“Hey! How come we don’t get any cuddles?” Junsu exclaimed, looking over at the three of them with wide, mock-hurt eyes. Yoochun pouted a little too, adding his own set of puppy-eyes.
Before Jaejoong could even open his mouth, Changmin had made a face at them and replied.
“Because you choose candy-gambling over cuddles.” The youngest said, an air of superiority colouring his tone, which made Jaejoong snort out a giggle and cover the spill of laughter that burst forth with a quick hand. Junsu looked even more offended at this remark and huffed, while Yoochun’s gaze slid down to eye Junsu’s pile of ‘winnings’, which was rather larger then his own.
“Don’t be so smug, you little twerp!” Junsu returned, putting on his own air of superiority and seniority. He was, however, quickly shot down.
“Little? I think not, shorty-Su!” Changmin extolled the new nickname in a sing-songy voice, a childish look of glee covering him from head to toe.
Junsu’s cheeks puffed out with an indignant retort, but he was sadly cut off by an amused Yunho.
“Now, now boys. Play nice.” He scolded in a mock-stern voice, grinning all the while. Jaejoong giggled even more, eyes curving upwards with the force of his smile… and it was only a moment later that Junsu realised the cause of his hyung’s laughter. Yoochun let out a triumphant whoop and shot off the bed, past Junsu, his hands filled with misbegotten candy. Nearly cackling with his successful pilfering, Yoochun bounced onto the bed holding his other three band members, nearly squashing Changmin before clambering over to take a seat at the head of the bed, dropping the candy into the empty space between his crossed legs and shoving Jae’s pillow over the top, like a dragon storing sparkling jewels in his cave. He indeed looked like a smug dragon too, while Junsu was left gaping at the bed opposite him.
Changmin started laughing loudly, and Jae’s own mirth had expanded so that his whole body was rocking slightly as he laughed. Yuhno was grinning his head off.
“You… you…. You CANDY BANDIT!” Junsu cried after a few moments of looking like a stunned mullet, pointing an incredibly accusing finger at Yoochun, who did nothing but grin as widely as he could and squeezed his eyes closed, the dragon image morphing into that of a cheeky monkey.
“Too slow, Junsu, too slow!” He taunted, and Junsu went into a massive sulk, crossing his arms and pouting fiercely. Changmin almost rolled off the bed, he was laughing so hard.
“You’re all against me! Why are you all so mean to me?!” Junsu exclaimed, looking like a 5 year old deprived of his lollypop - which Jaejoong thought kind of summed up the situation nicely.
“Aww, did that nasty Yoochun steal your candy, Junsu?” Jae’s smile could not be hid behind the put-on expression of concern, and he could feel the slight shake of Yuhno’s body against him as the other laughed.
“Yes.” Junsu said, looking pitiful and milking it for all it’s worth. He looked at Jaejoong hopefully and somewhat expectantly. “Punish him, Joongie?!” Jae smiled again and held out his hand to Junsu as he had to Changmin, wanting them all to be together on the bed, even though it was by now quite crowded.
Junsu crawled off his bed and onto the next, shoving the Changmin’s legs roughly so that he could cuddle up by Jae as well, who gave him a one-armed hug, the other one grabbing at Changmin as the boy began to slide off the coverlet. Yuhno’s hand joined him, and they managed to haul the laughing boy back where he sprawled across their legs. Junsu ignored him and sent dirty looks Yoochun’s way. “I want my candy back!” He demanded, but Yoochun grinned.
“No way. You snooze, you loose!”
“Arggh!” Was all the warning they had before Junsu leapt up over the mess of bodies and tried to tackle Yoochun, grabbing at the pillow and trying to push the other boy out of the way to get to his candy.
What ensued was an amusing to watch tussle in very limited space for a number of small items which ended up flying all over the place, only to be found by the cleaners during the next week or so in the oddest places. Changmin sat up a little, watching in delight and eating one of the scattered pieces of candy. Jae too was watching with a smile, until he felt a soft weight coming down on his shoulder. Looking over, he found Yuhno’s head resting peacefully against him, the other boy fast asleep. Jae’s smile melted into a soft look and he tugged on Min’s arm, pointing at Yuhno. Changmin too smiled softly at the sight, and reached forward to calm the two playing at the end of the bed. They quietened a little, not wanting to wake their clearly exhausted leader… but still, nimble hands darted out every once and a while to pinch or tickle at the other. They eventually settled down a little, and the four still conscious members began to talk quietly. Jaejoong could not remember what they spoke of, but the next thing knew, he was waking up with a sore back and numb legs, his neck uncomfortably stiff as he lifted his head.
The lights were still on in the bedroom, and the blinds still open - showing off the city landscape outside, and everything was the same as before he’d obviously fallen asleep - except for the red blinking lights on their clock, which read 2:41am, and also the sprawled bodies on the bed, which were now asleep. There was no one leaning on his shoulder however, and when Jaejoong looked over to his left, he came face to face with Yuhno’s somewhat bleary smile.
“I am distinctly uncomfortable.” Was all he said, and Jae’s lips tilted slightly, even as he brain tried to engage properly.
"Are you? That's nice." The elder said, patting Yuhno's arm. After a moment, he continued. “I can’t believe we all fell asleep.”
“I can't believe Changmin didn’t wake up.” Yuhno responded, shooting a pointed glance at the boy, who was imitating a pretzel quite accurately, wedged against Junsu and lying on Yoochun’s feet. Jae shook his head, and then wiched at the twinge in his neck it caused.
“I have to get up, or else I think I’m going to loose my legs. Junsu needs to loose weight.” He murmured, and Yuhno nodded.
“Yoochun isn’t a lightweight either.” And with this, the dancer began to shift his weight a little, aiming to slide out from under the pile of Dong Bang Shin Ki members. He winced as it dragged at his leg, causing little prickles of ticklish pain to break out under his skin. Jaejoong watched his expression and then looked down at his own pile of Dong Bang Shin Ki and winced at the thought. He knew his legs were going to be making up for their hours of numbness with a flourish of feeling all at once. Sighing, he began to move too. Better to get it over with.
It was a slow, somewhat painful process, of trying to disentangle themselves from the other three members without actually waking them. Eventually though, after soothing a half-roused Yoonchu and managing to keep all three safely on the bed by gently shifting Junsu over a little, they managed to get free. The pair of them stood next to the bed and looked down at the younger members of their band, smiling a little at how young and cute they looked, piled on each other and relaxed in sleep. Jaejoong went over to Junsu’s bed, pulling free the cover and dragging it over to his own. He pulled it up, and Yuhno reached over to help. They spread the blanked over the two youngest members, who were now lying sort of side-by side. Jae absently tucked it over their feet, making sure they were covered properly. His actions were cut short a little as he yawned widely, his hand snapping up a moment too late to cover it properly.
A warm hand slid over his back, and he looked up at Yuhno’s open face, blinking sleepily at the other boy.
“Time for bed, BooJae.” The dancer said, his hand moving down to the small of Jae’s back and guiding him around to face Changmin’s bed. Jae snuffled lightly against the back of his own hand before wrinkling his nose, eyes turning to the large open windows.
“Mmm. Blinds first.” He said. “Or I’ll be cursing myself in the morning.” He shuffled forward, reaching towards the cords that hung against the window frames between his and Changmin’s bed. He pulled at them somewhat dully, taking a few tries to get the right cord and start ravelling down the blinds. There was a light clatter from beside him, and the next blind over started to descend as well, Yuhno tugging at the cords there. They finished the other two silently, flicking off the lights as an after thought. And then Yuhno once again placed a guiding hand on Jae’s back, pushing him towards the empty bed next to their band mates. The other hand went to rest on Jaejoong’s hip, where Jae’s own hand covered it.
Jae rubbed at his face a few times, pulling up the covers and sliding down into the bed with a happy sigh. As he moved, the hand that covered Yuhno’s curled, bringing their palms together and entwining their fingers. And as Jae moved into the bed, he tugged on the hand. When there was no response, he looked up, frowning a little. Yuhno stood by the bed, a questioning look on his face. Jae pouted.
“They get cuddles, I get cuddles.” He explained simply, a slightly demanding tone edging his words. Yuhno smiled then, his white teeth shining through the darkness.
“Greedy little thing.” He teased, but nonetheless, a few moments later, he too had slipped into bed, and Jae was pulling up the covers to cocoon them in warmth. Yuhno scooted forwards, wrapping his arms around Jaejoong and tugging the other close.
Jae came willingly, snuggling into the comfort of the familiar embrace and burrowing his head down into the soft pillow that smelled like Changmin’s shampoo, the scent mixing with the distinct ‘Yuhno’ smell that radiated off his new teddy bear. He sighed contentedly and closed his eyes, a soft smile on his lips, already drifting back to sleep.
“Yes… very greedy.”

Erm. One question? Names... Jaejoong, JaeJoong or Jae Joong? Jae = OK? How about Min? Thanks!
