Chapter 15
The noises of the machines around him made him go nuts, but it was the only sound to prove Jaejoong was still alive.
It took the doctors 2 hours to make his heart beat again, the bullet missed his heart on just an inch, if he had shot more precisely he would have been dead.
But he still had a minor chance of surviving.
But that didn't mean Yunho lost hope, not at all, he kept talking to him while the doctors were trying to stable his heartbeat. "Jae, it will be alright, hold on a little."
The days were passing slowly, the history faded to make room for the future, in the future Yunho wanted to be with Jaejoong, he wanted to wake up next to him every morning, he wanted them to be happy and go to bed together every night again..
He wanted them to have the perfect life, without the fights, blood and death.
He also had a talk with Changmin.. a talk he wouldn't forget.
"So.. You're really in love with that guy?" He had asked.
Yunho nodded. "I can't leave him now Min, you have to understand.."
"I understand.. sort of. " He stared at his feet. "I hope... I hope you two will be happy.."
"Min."
"Hmm?"
"Are you going to leave me?"
"It's not leaving.. I just need to go away for a while.." Changmin sighed. "and I need to see someone.."
"Who?"
Changmin shrugged. "It's someone... who helped me a lot during the time you were caught by Jaejoong, he took care of me.."
Yunho smiled, "Is it Junho?"
"Maybe.." He shuffled his feet, Yunho could feel he was true, Changmin always had a weakness for Junho, who wouldn't, he was always there for anyone in need. Always helping others. No wonder he fell for him.
But he never saw Changmin like this before, normally he was tough, harsch and scared of no one, now.. he was almost the human he was before they started the gang, the sweet, friendly Changmin from Middle school.
Junho and Changmin would fit perfectly together.
"Well, no matter who it is, I'll always be there for you when things go wrong, you know that right?"
He nodded. "Ofcourse I know, now.. Go back to.. Jaejoong than."
Yunho hugged Changmin tightly. "Take good care of yourself okay? And if there's something call me."
"Okay.. Thanks Yunho."
Then Changmin had turned around, without a last look. But Yunho knew it would be alright with him.. Junho was a nice guy and wouldn't ever let him down.
Slowly he walked back to the room Jaejoong laid. His eyes still closed. Yunho wondered how long it would take to open his eyes again, so he could see he was there for him, that he had been waiting for him to wake up again. But how long?
Some hours later Yoochun came in, without Junsu. He glared towards Yunho, "So, you're still here?"
"As you can see."
"I thought you would have ran away again.. guess I'm wrong." Yoochun hissed.
"If you're here to argue with me than you can better leave. " Yunho said fierce, "I'm not leaving Jaejoong."
"Who said I'm here to fight with you, I was about to check my friends health, is that a crime?"
Yunho sighed. "Listen, I know what I did to Jae was wrong, I thought about it again and, there's something special between us, and if you want to break that, fine, but I'm not leaving."
"You really got guts there, I've known him for many many more years than you can imagine, I know when he's happy, sad of furious, you've no idea how much he suffored... partly because of you."
"For your information, Junsu told everything about his past, and you may know more about him, but can you blame me?" Yunho said. "You don't even give me a chance to get to know him better."
"Because you'll run off eventually.., I know guys like you."
"Listen for once, damnit. " Yunho got annoyed of Yoochun's sarcastic attitude."I won't run away again, I promised Jaejoong."
Yoochun snorted. "Promises are there to be broken right?"
Silence, Yunho tried to hold his anger, his fist colored white, too much presure.
"Chunnie?" It was Junsu who broke the akward silence, his gaze from Yoochun, to Yunho and back to Yoochun again. "What's happening here?"
"Nothing.. let's go." With one last glance on him, Yoochun left the room. But Junsu waited in the doorframe.
"Yunho... did something happen?"
"No,. Nothing."
"Don't lie to me, did Yoochun insult you?"
"Look I said it was nothing, just go after him.."
Junsu bit on his bottom lip. "Okay.. "

"You want to stay another night boy?"
Yunho nodded. "If it's possible?"
The doctor nodded. "You must be very good friends."
He had no idea.
Yunho took Jaejoong's hand, pressing his lips against the palm, "I wish you could wake up now Jae.."
The machines beeped, his heart beat was stable, just like he was asleep. Everything would be alright.. At least he hoped. Jaejoong hadn't moved for 5 days now.
"It has been such a long time since we,.. Please be okay.."
Tears rolled down his cheeks again, he was sick of crying all the time, no more tears, he wanted to stop crying for once.. But he couldn't stop himself, he blamed himself for Jaejoong's condition.. If he hadn't ran of this wouldn't have happened.
But that wasn't really important right now.
Jaejoong had to wake up again.

"Why don't you just leave them be Chunnie, can't you see how much he loves him?"
"Because I know what will happen, Jaejoong will only get hurt because of him." Yoochun said fierce.
"That's to Jaejoong to decide, I've seen them together Chunnie, they're just like you and me, hungry for love, just respect Jaejoong belongs to someone else now." Junsu said. "Just leave them be!"
"Who's the one who always took care of Jaejoong?"
"Not anymore." Junsu sighed. "Let him go, He loves Yunho."
"He'll definalty leave again after Jaejoong wakes up, I don't want Jaejoongto get hurt!"
"You know when you hurt Jaejoong? When you take Yunho away from him."
Yoochun sighed, "I know Jaejoong loves him... I could see it in his eyes.. When he called out his name.."
Junsu hugged him tightly. "Look, Yunho's not a bad guy, not anymore trust me.."
"If you say so.."

Another week later, but Jaejoong hadn't opened his eyes yet, but Yunho didn't gave up,
The doctors said many times he could better go home, to sleep and rest, because they weren't sure whether Jaejoong would wake again, but Yunho could go. He promised to stay.
"I'm fine, I'll stay by Jaejoong."
Junsu came by often too, without Yoochun, he was glad about it, he wasn't capable to face Yoochun now.
"Are you okay Yunho?"
"Hmm Yeah, I'm fine."
"If.." Junsu whispered. "If you want to stay over.. you can come with us.."
"No I'm just fine here." Yunho smiled to hide away his fear. "But Thanks for the offer."
Junsu doubted. "But.. Yunho, about what Yoochun said to you.. He's just confused.."
"I know.." Yunho took Jaejoong's hand, stroke it softly. "They were best friends right?"
He nodded. "Since childhood."
"I really envy him, to know Jaejoong inside out.. and I envy Jaejoong too, to have a friend like Yoochun, there aren't much guys like him in this world.."
"That's true.. Yoochun was always there for Jaejoong.. even when Jaejoong scold him or hurted him... he stayed at his side.."
"A loyal friend.."
"But." Junsu sighed. "They had their troubles too.. And I'm one of their troubles."
Yunho stared at him. "Why?"
"Because Jaejoong had to spare my life because of Yoochun.. " His voice trembled. "I owe my life to Yoochun, Jaejoong didn't like it at first.. but I know we... are friends somehow."
"I'm sure he thinks that way Junsu.." Yunho patted on the younger guy's back.
"I owe Yoochun so much... He protected me against Jaejoong's rage.." He sighed, surpressing his emotions. "It was like that at first.. I could only stay alive to satisfy Yoochun, because Jaejoong wanted that.. but after a while.. I really started to love Yoochun.. I can't live without him anymore."
Yunho listened patienly, his story was as sad as Jaejoong's ..
"But I can't complain now, can I? I mean.. He's always been good to me."
He nodded. "You're a lucky guy Junsu."
It was the first time he was Junsu smile for real, it made Yunho feel good, made his belief stronger, if everything got alright with Junsu and Yoochun, they had to be okay as well. His eyes focused on Jaejoong again.
"You promised to stay right?" Junsu asked suddenly. "You'll be together."
Yunho nodded. "I promised him.. I can't leave."
"Jaejoong will wake up soon, I'm sure."

Breathing was hard, he felt cold.
His limbs were stiff, he was unable to move, he heard an annoying beeping noise, he recognized that sound, he had heard it before, not long ago. Was he in a hospital?
His eyelids were heavy, he couldn't get them open.
In the distance he could here voices. Familiar voices.
They sounded so far away.
Yunho?
He tried so hard to move, to open his eyes, but he felt weak.
"You promised to stay right? You'll be together."
"I promised him.. I can't leave."
Yunho!
"Jaejoong?"
Finally he opened his eyes, the first thing he saw. Was Yunho.
"Jae,.. are you okay?"
"I... I think so." He whispered quietly. "Yunho..."
"Yes Boo?"
"Nothing.." A faint smile appeared on his face, "I just wanted to hear your voice."
"Jae, I'm sorry for everything that happened.." Yunho said softly.
"It's okay.."
Yunho stooped over Jaejoong, kissed his cold lips passionately, he waited so long for this, he had so much love to give to Jaejoong, now he was finally awake, his wish came true.
