Jordan and I found out two weeks ago that we weren't going to be Cub Scout Den Leaders after all. We were both pretty bummed about it. We still are. Our church ward released the Primary President and the new one didn't think they needed that many den leaders. So... after we asked what was going on with that, we were told "nevermind". Gah! Sorry about that. I thought it was a cool spider... didn't stop to think about people who don't like spiders. I'll be a little more careful with what I share in the future-- no snakes... though I do have a photo of a squished snake somewhere... hehe.

We did say we were upset about not being scout leaders and rattled off some of the things we'd planned on doing-- tour of the mirror lab, tour of the ADOT traffic interchange (assuming it is still there) or a tour of the city traffic department-- I wasn't going to organize that stuff unless they ask... and even then I won't volunteer that information. So... who knows. In the meantime, I think we're going to do some required "youth protection training" just to keep up-to-date with scouts if they ask us to be volunteers in the future.
