I like Castle a bit more but also it's had several seasons to develop and makes me laugh and giggle more than any other show. But I like to watch H50 live on the big (46" flat) screen first in my living room, then Castle on my computer while I'm all snuggled up in bed.
I really like Agent Kaye, mostly cause its Larisa. Also, I know people in the fandom are totally freaking out that they might make her a love interest. But from the way she was presented and the interviews I've read, the writers don't want to go in that direction, at least for a long while, but they not going to say never which is really what those fans want promised. I didn't feel she and Steve were attempting to flirt on any level, just trying to understand each other. I've been meaning to write a long post on it but I've just been so freaking busy.
I AM THE SAME WAY. I think it's more that I always feel like a crime show performs best when it has one long arc over the season(s). And with H50, they ALWAYS incorporate Steve's parents into it somehow, and with Castle, not so much. I think that's what's bothering me.
Oh I didn't see much ship there at all. MAYBE eventually, but nope, not really. I'd see him with Kono before her. Well, I'd rather see Danny with her, but you know what I mean. :D
