I loved the way you wove their histories together. And that GIF set is inspiring. That fixed point thing is just devastating, and the emotion was almost palpable here. Lovely fic. Thanks for sharing!

The gif just would not let me go - this wasn't what I was meant to be writing, but there was no way I couldn't.

Thank you so much :)

I don't even watch Merlin, but that was great :)

Aw, thank you! It was one of those must write moments, which are few and far between these days, so I'm chuffed people enjoyed it :)

I really liked this! I liked the perspective of Merlin being even older then the Doctor and the wiser one. Great crossover :-)

[oops, sorry for the late reply!]

Thank you so much. I think once I got the idea that Merlin must have lived longer on this timeline, it all sort of came together. So glad you enjoyed :)

This is lovely. I always love crossovers like this, and especially anything that turns that trope of the Doctor and his ancient eyes on its head. :-)

Especially loved this line: "He’s fought these battles with himself too many times, and while he always wins, he’s not sure he can fight them for someone else as well."

Thank you :) Yeah, I like the idea that the Doctor isn't the only one who's suffered and struggled - to some beings out there, he's just a child!

So glad you enjoyed, and yes, that's one of my favourite lines too <3

A lovely moment of shared empathy, full of the loneliness and the weariness of time. And very sad. I really enjoyed it.
Merlin's moment of hope, quashed by the immutability of some, particular events, was wrenching.
