When I read about people saying that it's not even about "marriage"; that they don't believe committed loving gay couples should ever even HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS as legally-married heterosexual couples, no matter if they have a legal domestic partnership or whatever, I am disgusted beyond words and I want to throw up.

We are not going to change the minds of die-hard bigots, and as long as a tyrannical majority of bigots are allowed to legally deny civil rights to others (like Prop 8), there is something SERIOUSLY WRONG in our country.

I'm all for fighting for my rights, don't get me wrong. It's just that 'sucking up for my rights' is a bit more of a bitter pill to swallow.

I don't mean just the marriage issue. I mean Don't Ask, Don't Tell too. Which he can do something about. Which he PROMISED he would end.

We live in a country founded on freedom of religion. Presently only one group is free and we have to conform to them because heaven forbid they learn to tolerate *ANYTHING* that doesn't fit into their little magic book. White Jesus? Give me a fuckin break.

If they want to pull that marriage = one man + one woman shit let's take a stroll through history and follow "tradition". From now on engagement/wedding rings will be replaced with chains and shackles! Why not? That's where the whole ring thing came from.

And remember, anytime our country has stood against a social rights movement, the movement has always won. It's just a matter of time until everybody's a cock-gobbling fagbot or a labia-licking lesbotron.
