Amazing post yet again. The move has certainly been mentally healthy for you in terms of taking you out of your comfort zone.

This chicken will be like the Tell-Tale Heart, with it's heart beat haunting you until you have a 15 course meal, each featuring a separate part of the chook....I can already hear the maid 'first we start with the feet'...The grand finali will be the beak.....but but but you will be saved because the head of the household (Joel) will have to eat the beak!!! The you will all have to play pluck-a-duck with the feathers and you will get a prize....more chicken Daryl Sommers?

Take care.

Hmm. I can see a possible face save here. Wouldn't someone so conscientiously keen to save you money over the housekeeping be glad to hear you were prepared to forgo meat as a routine item?

Either that or just come clean *g*

Thought provoking and amusing-as-evah post.

yeah, it turns out she doesn't really eat meat herself and was cooking it because she thought we ate it at every meal (including breakfast and lunch). a hasty return to vegetarianism has been heralded and i think MJ was actually quite relieved. but not as much as me :)
