You know what I spent my Friday off [school] doing? Making icons of scenery in Avatar. xD No joke; I was originally just making a few icons with pretty scenery; but then I decided; hey, what the heck; I have time, why don't I make icons/bases of ALL the scenery in Avatar? (Both seasons)

I can honestly say those are among the most beautiful icons I have ever seen.

It looks like Miyazaki did the scenery.

Thank you! (And I know; I've definitely gotten a lot better at making icons than I was before. ^^)

Btw; here's a signature I made for an Avatar forum I go to; and it fits ZUKO so well. xD (The song in the sig is from Hercules ("Go the Distance") and is what I was listening to when I made the sig)

The coloring is abosolutly stunning 0.0 How'd you get it like that? do you have tuts cat?

Thanks! I thought so too; what I did was experiment with the top tutorial here:

by modifying it for each individual icon; which made all of them look so spiffy. ^^

Now I use that kind of coloring for nearly everything I make; it looks so cool. =D

Has a ton of icon tutorials; the coloring tutorials are kind of mixed in; usually near the bottom but above the animated ones; though.

I haven't checked all the tutorials there out; and there's tons of other tutorial indexes I have stashed in my favorites; if you search LJ or ask me you're sure to find more. ^^
