Thank God! I thought it was just me! I bought the first two books as part of a deal, and couldn't even finish the first book the writing was that awful!
There is a cetain amount of bad writing I can put up with, but that was just terrible- how that ever got published is beyond me!

Totally not just you. It's very light and easy reading, but that's not really a good thing considering I was three-quarters through the book and was still waiting for the plot to show itself. And then all I got was badly written Bill/Sookie sex and badly written Bill/Sookie relationship drama.

*sigh* I, too, bought the first two books, so I think I'm going to be brave and read the second one while I have it. Gah.
