Andreth has been far afield these past few weeks, getting her bearings on life, and prefering outdoor solitude to the busy and crowded Mansion. So there are summer flowers in her room, and interesting leaves pressed into her books. Finrod has been spending a lot of time out as well, partly due to a bit of claustriphobia that he would never admit to anyone, and he spots her. He doesn't say anything, not wanting to interrupt her concentration on what she's writing, but he quietly sits near her and smiles lightly in amusement when he notices the leaf peeking out of her book.

It's several minutes before she becomes aware of his presence, because Elves are quiet. When she does she's startled, but puts down her pen with deliberation and gives him a faint smile in greeting.

"Good evening," she says, closing her book.

"Good evening." He smiles back. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." That doesn't mean that it didn't amuse him, though. Just a little. "It's been a while since I've seen you around here."
