well for a long time i refused to empathize with anyone in any real capacity

but i have begun moving out of that and as a result have been finding my life a lot more rewarding and my art a lot more poignant. but it also makes me afraid of losing that which i have

so there are gains and there are losses.

I do remember! I miss having everybody in one place without it being Everybody (see, e.g. Facebook).

Even if there's not much left of the 'community', I love having a passing record of my thoughts over the past 6.5 years. It's awesome to troll back through this stuff. Some things have changed so much, some things are exactly how they were back in June 2003...
