One year ago last night Hurricane Katrina made landfall in the gulf coast to wreak havoc on the lives of many - the damage caused by the powerful winds could only be surpassed by the breach of the levees which allowed Lake Pontchartrain to flow into the city. She has never left my prayers. I remember always. It upsets me that there are still people without homes from this and that the government isn't doing more.

Indeed, it upsets us all, chérie. It's absolutely horrible to see parts of this city still in shambles more than a year later. We can only hope that time will heal all wounds.
