So I was looking through artwork of Harry Potter fans and I found
buttfacemakani. Let me tell you - simply GORGEOUS artwork. As I was looking through the drawings, I found
this and fell in love with it. Not only does it have cute Baby!Draco, but it has this element of just love between Lucius and Narcissa - so what became of me seeing this drawing?
A ficlet! ^_^
So click the cut and read. Hehe. Oh! And as for the 'roleplaying' idea. I'm going to be starting things up as soon as I finish this entry because there were a few people and I'm hoping that those few people will get more people. So look for more info on that. Thalia and I already have two characters claimed: James and Sirius. I'm thinking it's going to be in the Marauder area. So if you want to see those journals and what they look like check out
blackgryffindor and
marauderseeker. And if anyone wants to make me a nifty Gryffindor/James icon for that journal - I'd love you forever. LOL.
That's it for now. Hope you enjoy the ficlet!

~*~*~
As the Daily Prophet fell onto the table from her fingers, Narcissa bit her lip nervously. Draco was asleep soundly in the small crib that Lucius’ mother had given her in celebration of the birth of a son - the new Heir of Malfoy. Her hand clenched at her sleeve as she wondered where the hell Lucius was.
Death Eater Attack: Dozens Dead On Both Sides
She started pacing back and forth as she glanced out the window that the moonlight streamed through. When Lucius had told her of the plans for that night, she hadn’t wanted him to go, at all but orders from the Dark Lord were to be followed, and Lucius promised her that he’d be okay.
She loved him.
Many people thought their marriage was nothing more than an arrangement - something that benefited both pureblood families of Black and Malfoy. But to her, it was more than that. This marriage was something that Narcissa cherished, and loved, because she cherished and loved Lucius.
He had been so sweet to her when she’d been pregnant with their darling Draco.
Lucius had done everything he could to make her comfortable since that day they exchanged their vows. And he showed her how much he cared for her.
She never forgot how caring he was, how loving and adoring.
“Narcissa,” Lucius drawled as he wrapped his arms around her waist tightly. He kissed her neck and grinned as he pulled her against him, touching her face gently. “You’re beautiful, you know that right?”
Narcissa giggled as she blushed and bit her lower lip as she looked up towards Lucius. “How can I not know it, when you tell it to me everyday?” She murmured. “And you know that I love you.”
“I love you too.” He replied, leaning forward as he captured her lips with her own. Slowly, his hands wandered towards her back as he slowly began to unzip the back of her dress. Narcissa pulled away, giggling.
“You know that we only have a little while before we’re supposed to be at your parents for the New Years Party.” She whispered, trying to keep him from undoing her dress more.
“I know.” He replied, “But I think it’ll be fine if we arrive a little late.” He smirked, “Besides, it takes my lovely,” He started pulling the sleeve of her dress down, “And pregnant wife a little longer to get ready now.”
Narcissa smiled as Lucius leaned down and gently kissed the top of her breasts that were confined by her bra. They had grown recently, and the little bump of her stomach was beginning to get larger.
She knew all too well that each night Lucius went out there with his white mask and black cloak that she had to wait all night until he came home to know that he was okay. She didn’t want to think about what Draco and her might have to endure if Lucius was ever captured.
But he was doing the right thing.
Mudbloods didn’t deserve the right to be a part of their world.
Sighing, Narcissa walked back towards the crib that Draco slept soundly in, and letting herself fall into the big green chair by the window, she pulled her legs up to her body as she reached out and rocked the crib back and forth a little.
“Daddy’ll be home soon, Luv.” She murmured to Draco.
Shutting her eyes, she let herself smile as she remembered the first time she felt Draco kick inside her womb - and the reaction Lucius had when he felt the second kick.
Her eyes widened as she heard the opening of the passage behind the bookcase. Grabbing her wand, she stood up, guarding the crib from whomever it was coming in - she didn’t know if it was Lucius.
Her breath caught in her throat as she saw the familiar black cloak and the white mask.
It was Lucius.
She couldn’t move as she watched his gloved hand reach up and remove the cracked mask from his face. Dropping her wand, Narcissa quickly moved pulling Lucius’ body against hers.
She had to make sure he was real.
Make sure he was alive.
Her hand grabbed the back of his neck, her other hand digging into his arm. Her eyes shut to keep the tears from falling as she buried her face into his shoulder.
“I’m fine.” He whispered.
Hearing his voice only made things better.
For tonight, her husband and her baby were fine.
Now she just had to endure the rest of the war.
