Today was a birding outing with a couple of friends. We were hoping that the weather held out, and that it wouldn't rain until late afternoon, as we had planned on an early morning start ( Read more... )

Nice pictures, especially the hummingbird. However, "Rock Dove" ("Rock Pigeon" officially) = the common pigeon seen in cities all over. Your doves aren't pigeons. If they had pointy tails, they're Mourning Doves. (I can't see quite enough in the picture to rule out some of the other possibilities, but I'm not sure that any other doves should be where you are anyway.)

TY, they are Mourning Doves. I found out after I posted. I'll have to edit that. Just getting started on this "birding" thing.
